Danny Ursetti is a composer/percussionist/muppet from Southern California. Theatre Writing credits include: Regretting Almost Everything (Barrington Stage Company), A Statue of Stature (Prospect Theater Company), In My Book (Coastal Carolina University) Your Brand New Incurable-Disease (NYU Tisch Drama STAGEworks), I Want To Eat Brains (Fresh Grind Festival), We Regret To Inform You Reza Is Dead. (The Electric Brain) and the in-development works: Mimosa (Michigan State University 2020 – postponed), My Cousin Vinny (BMI presentation), & Untitled Song Cycle with lyricist William Finn. He served as Music Assistant to William Finn on the Broadway revival of Falsettos, and his songs have been performed songs Feinstein’s/54 Below, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, Goodspeed Musicals, Barrington Stage, Two River Theater, The 52nd St. Project, Green Room 42, and The Sidewalk Cafe. Film/TV credits include William Finn’s The Emperor’s Newest Clothes (arranger), Hill’s Ideal Balance Pet Food (composer), Gatchaman (conductor/additional music), and The Activist (orchestration). His arrangements/orchestrations have been performed by The New York Philharmonic, Pasadena Pops, Master’s College, California State University Northridge, Pipe Dream Flutes, and countless ensembles and high schools around the country. He is a current member of BMI Lehman Engel Musical Workshop, HomeBrewed Writers Collective, and a composer/teaching artist with the 52nd St. Project, and Chicago Opera Theater. MFA: NYU Tisch GMTWP.
